Hina Aoyama- Paper Decoupage Artist

Pictures Via Hina Aoyama
Breath-taking paper cutting art by Hina Aoyama, a Japanese artist living in France. The way she demonstrates her cutting the paper looks so easy breezy. Oh so meticulous and time consuming. Can you believe it she did all of these only with a pair of sharp pointed scicors?. See more of her artwork here.

Swarovski Crystal Light Switch -jewelry for the wall.

Image Via Trendir
Swarovski crystal light switch sounds way too over-the-top and unnecessary? Especially now? Hmmm....let's see what we learned from the past. Chanel accessories, lipsticks and perfumes were sold like hot cakes during the depression-era. Little luxuries like this helps us going through hard times. Well my dearest, that is just a little-theory of mine. This precious little jewelry for the wall is that little luxury add that little "ooohhh and ahhhhh" affect in our "humble-little- mansion". You dont need much, just a nice pristine wall as it's background. Especially while you are entertaining, you could brag a little and say something like " Oh, Mon Dieu, it is so dark in here! Let me turn on the light dears! et Voila!" *wink wink* Manufactured by a German manufacture Berker, which means quality and this light switch would last a life time. Might be another family heirloom for your future grandchilden? A...oui??? See more images here.

out of the cupboard- Jo Meesters

Picture Via Jo Meesters

It is a very fresh approach to re-invent the look of an old funiture by a young Dutch industrial designer, Jo Meesters. I love his sensitivity and unpretentious approach in his designs. His work values the importance of nature, craftmanships and back to basic values. I saw a lot of honesty, down-to-earth approach and sophisticated details consistently in all of them. Click here to see more of his work. In some ways he does romanticizes some aspect but in a very suble way which makes it beautiful. Below is a quote of his concept.

"The basic principle of Jo Meester’s work is sustainability. By integrating various aspects of craftsmanship, sophistication, and detailing, Meesters aims to imbue his projects and products with an emotional value. In this way, he emphasises his commitment to the creation and perception of a bond between object and user.back..." (via jomeesters.nl)

Taipei Performing Arts Center Building Proposal- NL Architects

Images Via Laissez Faire
I love the purity if this proposed design submitted by NL Architects for Taipei Performing Arts Building. I can imagine myself standing the middle of the plaza observing at my surrounding as if the interaction between the visitors and the building interior as a performance. It would be fun too looking at the building elevator going up and down from the exterior. Even thou at the end OMA won the project, I still think NL's proposal is more poetic and has a better concept serving it's purpose as a performing arts building. AND PREETIER TOOO!!!! Sorry Kolhaas this time your design doesn't do anything to me. In my opinion OMA's building proposal looks way too stubby and clumsy looking...hmmpphh.... See more of the beautiful NL Architects proposal here.

Chanel AW09 Jade Baubles

I cought a glimpse of Chanel's AW09 jade jewelry and I freaked out (in an amusing way). This is so different than classic Chanel style. Touches of pink and green jade appeared to be very fresh and fun againts Chanel's signature balck and white. Oooh....Kaiser Karl you did it again this time, c'est très génie !. See the entire collection fashion show below.

My Queen of The Night

I'm a proud mama of this Queen of The Night a.k.a. Pisonia Grandis var Silvestris flower in latin. It only blooms once a year for a couple of hours, starting exactly at 12 at night. Someone took the effort to take pictures of this flower's blooming process, click here to see the image.
