About David Wiseman around last year and I've been a fan since then. I recently checked-out his site and found some of some of his new stuffs above. A Little Chicago Lovin'!

It's been 6 months since I left Chicago for Jakarta. It was my home for 10 fabulous years. I found this new Budweiser Ad from Joanna Goddard's blog, A Cup of Jo. I used ride the brown line El every single day when I was in college and I saw these same building rows every single day. I always stands by the entrance leaning on the side partition just staring outside especially on a beautiful sunny days. The El is the most intersting way to see Chicagoans it depends what line are you riding in. I know this is not the most glamorous choice of transportation but it is a way to get in touch with humanity. Oh memories ;)

I used to be traumatized by ribbons when I was little. "Mom, puhhleeseeeee I'm not a present!" Thats what I used to yell at her while she was chasing me around the house trying to clip a gigantic ribbon on my my ponytail. I usually let her win and giving her the satisfaction of putting that horrible thing on my head. Well, it depends on my mood that day. Some days my cheekyness just drove her over the edge and finally gave up which is this is what happen mosts of the time hahaha.....Anyway... Now all grown-up, older and wiser. I fall for "tastefully done ribbons" ONLY! Remember that. Not the ones that Mom used to chased me around with. Guilty? not really...Puhhleesseee Mom these are couture and just simply divine and strategically placed ;) Ma, I love you but sometimes we just have artistic differences. We'll talk about it over our manicure appointment, 'aight? *wink*

"The September Issue", Movie about Vogue and Anna Wintour

OOhhhh....Anna...annna....aaannnnaaa....I love her coz she is mean and fabulous! ;) "The September Issue" is the most important issue of the year in fashion, it is the beginning of Fall, going back to school season, the begining of the holiday season which means...kachingg.......shopping season people!!!!! and Christmas!! OH Deaarrrr.....it is only 5 months away! Personally, I trully admire her working ethic, discipline, determination and style. Her strong personalities made her a "bitch monster", but at the end of the day it also made her and her magazine to be the most successful institution in Fashion. I love this quote of hers "There is something about fashion that makes people very nervous" and another one "Fashion is not about looking back, it's about looking forward". Can't wait to see this movie. It is full of juicy gossips, intrique, and dirty secrets behind the those chic and glossy Vogue mag cover. Delicious! MHUAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!!!! *evil laugh*

I found this video while I was reseaching for my coming projects. It gave me shivers and lifted-up my spirit. A good reminder why I wanted to be a designer. The beauty is in the process and how we put all loose ideas together as a cohesive design. I love my job. Thank you Makoto Yabuki! Your work is very invigorating with beautiful smooth illustrations. Adorable teahouse by A1 Architects. This 3,75 sqm structure was designed as an escape space from day-to-day hectic moments, hanging out with a couple of friends sharing ideas and a cup of tea, surrounded by cherry blossoms and apple trees. A place where time passed at it's own pace. Hmmm...that sounds so divine!!! This might be a great idea for an adult version of a treehouse! Read and see more here.

My Latest Fling With Modern Chinese Pieces

I am currently pretty swamped with work, that's why I am feeling so bad for not posting things as often as I would like to. Lately, I have a fling with Chinese style furniture with modern twist, or vice versa. Chinese design has been influencing western furniture style since the era or Chippendale or even before that. Even in Versailles you could find some pieces with Chinoisserie detailings to it.
