Ivy Penthouse- Sexy Poison Ivy from Down Under

All Pics Via VOGUE LIVING AUSTARLIA May/June
Since I moved back to Jakarta, I became more and more attracted to Australian sense of design. They are so much more fresh, daring and vibrant, very different indeedthan anything else under the sun. One of the latest establishments from Down Under is The Ivy Penthouse, just opened last April in Sidney. For the past years, hoteliers began to "pimped-up" their establishements to have more of that residential feel. So far, The Ivy Penthouse is one of the most successful hotel in domesticating its look, definately one of the bestests. Accroding to Vogue Living Austrlaia, it has the combo of Palm Springs meets the James Bond houses style. YES, I do agree that It has this sexy suave, swanky sophisticated bachelor's penthouse look which I adore. Infact, 36 years old Justin Hemmes of Merivale Company is the brain-child behind this dig. A pretty yummy looking Aussie bloke I say *wink wink* I'm also in love with the way they gilded the place with Travertine all over the place, it is just GORGE!!! To book one of The Ivy Penthouses, click here. The list of the talented people worked in this project are: Woods Bagot (architect), Hecker Phelan& Guthrie (interior designers), and Daniel Baffsky of 360 Degrees.

Chanel No.5 New Ad by Jean-Pierre Jeunet Starring Audrey Tautou

My 2 fav persons working together. I love how they use Jeunet to direct Chanel No.5's new ad. This is not the first time for both Jeunet and Tautou to work together in a production. Some of their movies together are Amelie and A very Long Engagement. The color ,romance and sexual innuendos in this ad kinda sent me over the edge, made me want to see more what happened after. I was like COME ON!!!!! ENCORE!! I WANT MORE!!! :)

Hong Kong, How you have become my Asian NYC!

Image Via Eugenio Recuenco
I'm currently stopping by HK for pleasure. Last night, we went to this Tapas place by Nathan Rd in Tsim Sha Shui (I need a break from all the Chinese food we had for the past week in China), and there were this 2 gals tawking..and tawking...and tawking with heavy Brooklyn accent sitting on the table behind us. Suddenly, I felt this pang of sadness, oh how I miss NYC. It used to my hub to satisfy my thirst of art, design, architecture and fashion when I used to live in Chicago. Flying there used to be a treat for my mind to freshen-up my eyes with beautiful, new happenings. Now, since I got relocated to Jakarta, HK is pretty much what come close to NYC experience, only with more sophisticated subway system (it is called MTR here) which is similar to London's tube. Plus, the food and shopping over here are endless with wicked discounts all year long (esp. in June-July). HK constantly changed year after year so you will find something new each time you visit. I fell in love with HK once all over again, just like when I was 5 years old. Sorry NYC, I heart you but I think I need to move on, I will see you again in the future someday....someday...*gosh, i kinda feel cheesy with this post now* Oh..look, the picture in this post IT IS gorgeous eh?? Well, clap your hands for Eugenio Recuenco, see more here.

The Uplift Medicine Cabinet by Robern

Image Via dvice
Robern (one of Kohler's company), just launched a smart medicine cabinet system to replace our classic ones. The good news is, it will hide all of your toilleteries clutter and also a place to stash your electronic gadget such as electronic toothbrushes and mini LCD TV while they are not being used. The mirror hides them all and rises only with a slight force from underneath. Six power outlets available in the cabinet itself. A pretty wicked way to get organized eh? Read more here.
