All Images Via prabalgurung.comI know it is a bit late to post about talents from New York Fashion Week SS2010 collection. But this guy, Prabal Gurung, a Nepalese fashion designer who's now resides in NYC is one of the hottest fresh young talents. The latest New York fashion week for Spring 2010 was not his first season but he grabbed my attention at that time. His passion started when he decided to learn fashion at a National Institute of Fashion Technology in India. He quickly worked at some India couture houses after his graduation. Spent his youth globe trotting, finally he came to NYC to enroll at the prestigious Parsons School of Design. His talent was rapidly recognized and was awarded "Best Designer" title by Annual Parsons/ FIT Design competition. Following his Parsons years he was soon recruited by famous fashion designers such as; Cynthia Rowley and Bill Blass. Now, standing on his own, doing a self-named line, Prabal Gurung, since Fall 2009.
